Tamarind Guest Artist Aaron Noble has completed a large wall painting at Tamarind Institute in conjunction with the 516 ARTS DECADE exhibition. Based in Los Angeles, Noble has created murals around the country and the globe, including Albuquerque. He is the cofounder of the Clarion Alley Mural Project in San Francisco. Noble says, “My core practice is large-scale, site-specific wall painting with related works on paper and canvas. The work is a synthesis of three distinct practices: comics, collage, and muralism (both traditional and spraycan). The superhero comics of the sixties and seventies were my first aesthetic training ground.”
