NICK CAVE
UNTIL
MASS MoCA, North Adams, MA
Nick Cave's textured installation is comprised of tens of thousands of metallic wind spinners, more than ten miles of crystals, thousands of lawn decorations, and other found objects. Several yellow ladders lead to the top of these cloud-like structures, unveiling glistening platforms that serve as home to dozens of ceramic birds, gilded pigs, colorful flowers, images of guns, and bullets. Cave's
juxtaposition of opulent and violent imagery creates a culturally charged work that will leave the viewer in awe. On view through August 2017.
