Sidney Amaral is an artist and educator living and working in Brazil. Amaral works in drawing, painting, and sculpture, appropriating and fusing everyday objects into new forms that he casts in bronze, marble, resin, and porcelain.
In 2012, Amaral participated in the project AFRO: Black Identity in America and Brazil at Tamarind, and produced two editions dealing with the complexities of racial identity.
