AFRO: BLACK IDENTITY IN AMERICA AND BRAZIL

June 1–August 31, 2012

This group exhibition highlights work by three Brazilian artists and three U.S. American artists of African decent who have been invited to create lithographs exploring the complexities of racial identity in Brazil and the United States.

Brazilian artists include Rosana Paulino, Tiago Gualberto, and Sidney Amaral, and from the United States we will host Alison Saar, Willie Cole, and Toyin Odutola. The public is invited to a closing reception on August 24, 2012 from 5-7.
