After the Circus: Tamarind's Annual Student Exhibition

After The Circus showcases lithographs created by 13 student artists who are currently working at Tamarind Institute. The exhibition will be in the Tamarind Gallery May 5 through May 12, and works will be available for purchase. Tamarind invites the public to an opening reception on Friday, May 5 from 6-8 pm. The Tamarind Gallery is open to the public Tuesday – Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, and by appointment.
After a full semester dedicated to perfecting their technique, Tamarind students continue their training as they collaborate with art students in UNM’s Department of Art and Art History. A selection of the resulting lithographs created during the program, as well as representations of the printers’ personal works, will be on exhibition in the Tamarind Gallery. Tamarind printers include Jaime Durham, Cedar Kirwin, Liz Melnyczuk, Amanda Morris, Rainey Nunnally, and Joshua Orsburn. University of New Mexico artists include Mick Burson, Nick Simko, Isaac Trujillo, Jesse Furr, Babak Shahsiah, Brian Willett, and Kristen Roles.
