NEW RELEASES / R. LUKE DUBOIS

Tamarind sustains two parallel programs to advance the art of lithography—a printer training program and a publishing program with contemporary artists. The publishing program brings approximately 8-10 artists to collaborate with our team of printers every year, seeking a diversity of backgrounds and stylistic approaches to inspire new ideas in the workshop. With Luke DuBois the workshop expanded its reach to respond to the ideas of an artist who originally trained as a composer and software engineer.

DuBois is a natural collaborator and educator, and he moved easily into the collaborative space of the workshop. He is the director of the Brooklyn Experimental Media Center at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering, where he and his students explore the implications of new technologies for individuals and society.
