TAMARIND'S SPECIAL PROJECTS

BRINGING LITHOGRAPHY TO CONSTITUENCIES AROUND THE WORLD

From the Australian Outback and the Balkans to Botswana and Brazil, artists have been brought together to work side-by-side, using lithography to explore cultural and societal themes as they share traditions and life-views.

Tamarind's special projects have been an important part of our programming since 1985, providing opportunities for Tamarind to reach out to new audiences through exhibitions, exchange programs, lectures, and workshops on nearly every continent.

Projects have been made possible by grants from governmental and philanthropic agencies such as the National Endowment for the Arts, The Rockefeller Foundation, The Andy Warhol Fund for the Visual Arts, the Trust for Mutual Understanding, the Urban Enhancement Trust Fund, New Mexico Arts, and the United States Department of State, as well as by many private donors.
